Meetups dead. Backers have options! ConsoleOS going Experimental.
#1
A broadcast message for those backers who, at CP's urging, signed up at  Meetups.com, back in the days of naivety.  As for events, there never was one.  No news.  No events.

I imagine, just a whole bunch of backer money spent on car payments and a trip to Spain. And then there were the Carl's Jr. and Soda Stream expenditures.

From: Christopher Price <info@meetup.com>
To: ConsoleOS-com-Official-Meetup-announce@meetup.com

Hi all, this is Christopher Price, Console, Inc.'s founder and CEO.

As we announced last month, we've entered into a deal with Teclast to
bring some new, innovative Android devices to the United States. We're
focused on making the software and specs great, and they're focused on
making sure the hardware is built great.

You can read more about that announcement on our home page:
http://console.com.co/ [1]

We haven't forgotten our Kickstarter backers, who will be given multiple
options, and we have moved Console OS to experimental status, as Intel
has pulled back support in the Android space of late.

Because of these changes, and dramatic price hikes at Meetup, we're
folding up our Meetup page, at least for now. We plan to use Eventbrite
for upcoming events.

To be notified of future events - you need to sign up to our mailing
list! Follow this link to do so [2]. Thanks!

Still to this day, cannot follow through on a single thing he starts. It's the price hikes that drove him to fold it, not the zero backers wanting to meet him or the abysmal PR state he's in.

Good ole CP.

I can't wait for the announcement. I can't wait for him to tell us how he overcame Intel, how actual sales data that says Windows PCs are becoming less popular is a lie, how somehow all his setbacks are related to Jide, and how he is pioneering dual booting Android and Windows hardware, even though Teclast already sells dual-booting Android and Windows hardware, and Jide has already announced their own dual-booting Android and Windows hardware.

You know I have a shrine with a collection of things of Mr. Price.

All his posts are pinted on paper, all his youtube videos are saved on my hard disk and I watched it right before I go to sleep.

Best of all I have really big poster hanging right above my bed, so he can protected if I have bad dreams.

I am so nervous to order a couple of his new shiny tablets just for the sake of it ;-)

I'm just eagerly awaiting my pre-launch flyer, my free month of Spotify, my laptop skin, and my Console Bot tshirt.

Shipments were resumed months ago, even though they never even began to begin with. Any day now.

Remember this from a few weeks ago?

"Later this week" turned into "Fuck it. We'll just say this is the update." Do we even need to acknowledge the "pause for a day" part? Let's pretend his team is real. Then he's literally saying his WHOLE team had to pause a WHOLE day so that he could type three and a half paragraphs.

Maybe the team is tied up doing back-to-back interviews to fill their SSL Engineer vacancy? Hope they ran that posting by Legal, HR and Engineering.

He's been busy pontificating and offering insight into what other businesses should do, like Verizon Wireless, for example:
